Great!

Not sure if its just my iPhone but there seems to be a lag after startup before the wood texture appears as the background of the menu, hopefully something that will be fixed in a future update, otherwise a good game

Too much "graphics"

Theres so much going on visually on the game board its difficult to see the hints option. "Enjoy Sudoku Daily" does it beautifully.

Allows you to focus on strategy, not tedium

This program automates all the keeping track of possible numbers and allows you to focus on the strategy of making decisions. The program also has a help section to teach strategy.

Too Easy

The Difficult puzzles are too easy to solve. I would also like to be able to input my own puzzle. I LOVE the ability to turn off and on the possible numbers and change their colors. Ill continue to use it just for that!!

Great sudoku game

Great game. Experienced player and did not find it too easy. Option to allow markers is interesting, although I like adding them myself which is also an option. If you are debating getting it, go ahead and get it, you will enjoy.

This is a good sudoku app. Get it while it is still free.

Pretty good Sudoku

Of the 7000 + Sudoku apps in the App Store, ACTSudoku is above average. Certainly not the best out there but one of the better ones. It has several positives going for it, including a good help and tips section, difficulty levels that are actually accurate (the "hard" level is quite difficult, for instance) and the all-important "pencil marks" feature. The main drawback to this Sudoku app is that inputting numbers is annoyingly awkward. When you tap a square you are given several options but you have to press and hold a number just to enter it as a known value. This goes on and on for every number in the grid. If the number functions were easier this would be an easy 4 or 5 star app.

Best iPhone sudoku app, and at a great price

ACTSudoku is the only app that meets all my requirements for an iPhone sudoku app. It gives you real sudoku with rotational symmetry—and it *generates* them, rather than limiting you to a pack of pre-made puzzles. It has a good interface: Its input method is obviously postfix (you wont need to guess whether you need to hit a number or a cell first), and its color scheme is sensible. It even has the option to automatically fill in pencil-marks according to which numbers are possible in each cell, but you can turn that off in the Settings app. This is, in my opinion, the ideal sudoku app for the iOS.
