For those of you who are Sudoku Addict, this game is a must ! Even at easy level, it can take you hours to solve the puzzle out. Sure, it takes a little to get familiar with red and green tags. But once this concept is assimiled, what a great idea ! Congratulations Houdah guys, and thank you. One more thing ! I dont like the wooden background. Not in the iPhones spirit... GHa

The update freezes constantly and it should have the option to play without entering a name

You cant actually input numbers, you can only indicate good or bad on each small sub-grid with a colored square. This makes it hard to see which numbers are which! Im going to look for a better version than this!

Not too bad but definitely not too fun to play. Interface is clunky, windows for the way you mark and score remain open, phone will sleep while playing, and no way to score or save puzzles. Have the soduku for the 5th gen ipod and that was much better. However, for 2.99, it will do in a pinch.

there are better sudoku games for the money. hard to tell what you have put doen, no numbers only red boxes. get a different one.

When you choose the number for a square, it would be better if the square would then display the number you selected instead of just a red dot on the grid. It makes it really hard to keep track of what numbers you have already used.

I was adicted to Sudoku until I purchased this game. I want to get my money back and I need to get this stupid Sudoku game off my Iphone! Its not worth a penny. Dont put it in your Iphone even if it were free!

Firstly, if you only select the number it marks it as valid or invalid for the square. The UI is manageable once you get used to it. The games get real tough as you play the higher levels.

Ill admit, I wasnt thrilled with the interface when I first bought this game. However, when I carefully read the documentation, I discovered all the problems were mine and NOT the programs. Input of answers is fairly easy as is the setting of markers. Ive played many games on the easy level with HINTS turned off and have found it as challenging as the book of puzzles I have at home as well as the daily paper puzzle. Well worth the investment!

This Sudoku game is the best version Ive tried yet on the iPhone! Once you read the instructions and spend a few minutes with ACTSudoku you can see how easy it is to play. The people who are frustrated at this game obviously havent read the instructions or theyd see its a long push to set the number & a quick tap to mark that spot. I think this version of Sudoku is the (thus far) perfect blend of appearance and functionality in a Sudoku game for the iPhone.

ActSudoku has fairly slick UI and feature rich. It needs are few tweaks and bug fixed to reach 5-star status: (1) lighter color for unmarked quare/numeric (current gray is way too busy and distracting), (2) suspended games are frequently lost, (3) commit on a tiny UI is error prone (should pop out like the QWERTY keyboard, and (4) no wooden wallpaper.

theres something wrong with the hints algorithms since if you take the suggestions you end up dead in the end. Also I dont know how they determine its easy or hard, coz easy games have less numbers and end up being really hard to do, Dont take suggestions by the hint!

Most of the Sudoku apps in the app store look ugly. Thats not so in Act sudokus case, it looks pretty nice. Unfortunatly it had one BIG problem, resuming games doesnt work! When I come back to continue my sudoku game the resume suspended game option is greyed out and all the time I spent on it is wasted! Dont buy! iSudoku is the only other nice looking app and it actually works! :-o

I would recommend this sudoku game. Once you get used to how the controls work it is very nice, easy to use and enjoyable to play. Not very visually exciting, but a good way to pass time. Thanks

absolute best sudoku app ever!!!! completely worth it

Figured since I spent $3 it would be a good one, but not impressive at all. Level easy is too hard! Very boring graphics. No options at all. You can find a lot better!!!!

This is a very nice sudoku game for the iPhone. It provides anything youd ever want: a nice interface, unlimited puzzles, the ability to listen to your own music while playing, difficulty levels, and an option to suspend your game and pick it up later. My only complaint would be that the interface for entering a number is a little small and I cant really see the number Im tapping. Maybe clicking on a square should line the numbers up at the bottom or something for easy viewing and selection. This isnt a major problem though. I would also like to see some more customization options but that would just make it better.

Really nice game with a ton of puzzles at three different difficulties. Also cant beat the price. Its free! Download while it stays free!

I really like this app. With the optional automatic markers, hint button, and help section, and three different levels of play, its perfect for beginners and dedicated players alike. I think using the dot method of notation may involve a bit of a learning curve for some (myself included) that are used to notating numbers (I realize it reflects the same data, but seeing the number is just faster for me) but its a personal preference rather than a complaint. If number notation were added as an option in the future I wouldnt complain, is all Im saying. Also, other styles of Sudoku, like Killer and Jigsaw, would be welcomed as well. The clean graphic interface is another reason to sing this apps praises. One of my faves!

Pros: Starts up pretty quickly and jumps right back to the puzzle you were solving. Unlimited puzzles at 3 difficulty levels Some nice info on puzzle solving techniques. Areas for improvement - It would be nice to be able to enter a custom puzzle like from a newspaper - Not a big fan of the greyish tint on some of the boxes. - The pop-up number chooser obscures whatever is underneath. An alternative would be having the numbers in a row below the puzzle which some other apps do.
